Embracing Death & Grief with Yin Yoga
SATURDAY OCTOBER 12th | 9–10:30AM
Yin Yoga is a practice centered around long held yoga poses for several minutes at a time. The intention is to relax the best you can within the yoga poses and keep your concentration on the present. The long held poses provide an excellent space for meditation practice which will be weaved into the yoga practice and themed around embracing death and grief.
As long as the weather permits us to be outside, this practice will be held at the Heart Land Prairie Cemetery.
2474 Arrowhead Rd, New Cambria, KS 67470 (scroll down for directions below – about 20 mins from Salina)
* This is a free event but donations for the instructor are appreciated *
— To reserve your spot, please fill out this short form below — one per person.
— Your reservation will be used to give notice if weather forces us to change the location to A Work In Progress Yoga Studio.
— There is no restroom on site so be prepared to do what you have to 🙂
— Bring your own water to drink, a yoga mat or picnic blanket, and something like a Mexican blanket to use as a prop (yoga block/bolsters optional).
The Central Kansas Death Care Collective (CKDCC) is a collective of practitioners and caring individuals interested in the field of dying and death care. Our goal is to empower individuals and their families by promoting a holistic and community-centered approach to end-of-life and after-death care. We connect people to resources and information, provide educational opportunities and programs, assist with planning and information about alternative choices available, provide referrals to service providers, respond as needs arise in the community.
